I prefer an “Agile” project management style to a traditional “Water Fall” methodology. I have found that “Scrum” allows for greater flexibility in managing projects with limited resources. While “Water Fall” seems to focus on linear absolutes and ideal requirements that can bog down project resources, Scrum teams and project sponsors agree to satisfy the set of requirements that are absolutely necessary to deliver a timely solution. Scrum/Agile has been criticized for not delivering “quality” products. I think that in a Scrum environment, quality is agreed upon by the business, the stakeholders, and the project team. Quality can be maintained and/or improved by observing ITIL change management and constant service improvement after an initial deployment phase.
